Basler has ramped up its camera production capacity by a factor of 10 since 2009, including investments in machines and processes that in turn have allowed for shorter delivery deadlines, reliability and value. Each Basler camera, regardless where it is produced, corresponds to the highest quality standards and is subject to an exclusive 3-year warranty.
Camera assembly facility in Singapore
Because demand for digital cameras is exploding in the Asia-Pacific region is growing rapidly and faster than in any other region in the world, Basler made the strategic decision to open a cutting-edge new factory in Singapore. It serves as the final assembly and distribution point for our top-selling ace camera models. Cameras assembled locally at the facility are sold only on the Asia-Pacific market.
To ensure consistency between the products produced at the two sites, the new production line was engineered and constructed in Germany. All of the quality assurance measures our customers prize from Basler's German factory are duplicated at the cutting-edge facility in Singapore.
Production employees for Singapore traveled to Germany for an intensive training session covering the production and quality assurance procedures as well as Basler's unique culture.
Our expansion to Singapore has brought with it a number of benefits for our customers, including more production capacity, shorter delivery times and a significantly reduced risk of production standstills. We are also deepening already tight relationships with our customers.
Basler ace cameras have been rolling off the production line since August 2014. Cameras for sale outside Asia are still produced exclusively in Germany.
